Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has said that AC Milan forward Robinho is eager to return to the Brazilian club.

The 28-year-old has cut a frustrated figure at Milan this season, scoring only nine goals to date in all competitions with the Serie A champions.

A move back to Santos has been suggested as a possibility, and the Brazilian club's president stated that Robinho would not be opposed to the transfer.

"I think there is a chance that he might return, yes," Ribeiro told Arena SporTV. "Santos want this to happen, and so does Robinho.

"Now, it is up to Milan. We will talk to them."

Robinho, who signed for Milan in 2010 in an €18 million deal, played in Santos' first team between 2002 and 2005 before he returned to the club on loan in 2010 after a poor spell at Manchester City.
