AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has stated that Juventus are still in control in the race for the Scudetto, despite their slip-up against Lecce on Wednesday evening.

The Serie A leaders had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home, while Milan beat Atalanta 2-0 in their Serie A fixture at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Nevertheless, Allegri has pointed out that Juventus still hold a one-point lead over the Rossoneri with two more games to go.

"Juventus still have everything in their own hands. We just have to do our best to keep the race open and hope for another slip-up but that’s tough to see," Allegri stated at a press conference.

"We’ll see now what happens on Sunday. This is why football is beautiful; anything can happen in a game.

"This is the proof that the most impossible things to achieve are always the most beautiful and you always have to believe."

Milan resume league action on Sunday when they take on rivals Inter.
